A nationwide prank, which tricks otherwise rational people into throwing televisions through windows, pulling fire alarms, and setting off sprinklers, has now claimed victims in Louisiana hotels. An example of one prank involves a frantic caller saying there has been a gas leak. The caller claims to be at the front desk and advises unplugging all devices and throwing them out the window. It happened to a recent guest at the Omni Royal Orleans in New Orleans. Police stopped her from continuing the destruction.
